These limits apply across the guides. The pages are not a procedure for entering a closed dam or any restricted structure, joining a locked network, opening a high-voltage marine system, or interfering with a ship’s controls.
- Rated depth is how deep the housing is built to go. It is not how far the camera can see.
- A runtime quoted without the test conditions is not the time you will get with lights, sonar, and current.
- Tether has to cover more than the straight line down.
- Sonar does not replace a close visual inspection. A consumer underwater drone does not replace a required survey or a diver.
- Do not follow a chartplotter line into a hazard. AIS and radar do not replace a lookout.
- Do not treat a fish-finder picture as a navigational chart.
- The guides do not give aquaculture treatment, financial advice, or weapons guidance.
